About Us

Shivaya Foundation

Shivaya foundation was formed on 12th January 2018 under F- 71545 of charity commissioner Greater Mumbai Region. Since it’s inception the foundation carries a mission of making two platforms meet, the donor and the needy individuals. Shivaya members contribute as little as Rs. 200/- per month and get an opportunity to help the society under various causes - education and health. The funds are also raised through events if not the members.
Another wonderful way which gives chance to non-shivaya members is through donation boxes. Team Shivaya has set up donation boxes at 34 locations across Maharashtra. We have been able to raise ₹1,14123/- funds through these small magic boxes in a small span of 15 months. The team members visit and collect the donation once the box is full, the entire money thus received is used to support various cases.

How do we work?

The foundation has been able to help people from different age group and various backgrounds. Since Shivaya operates with 100% transparency, we have taken it as our responsibility to verify each case we come across. Once we receive request from a needy person, verification team visits the house to inspect all the documents so that the donors money are actually reaching the worthy ones. After verification team has confirmed need, various members of the team vote to support the cause, this involves, discussion on medical or legal parameters, if required. Thus the funds are gathered and handed over to them. There are sometimes when team Shivaya believes money is not the only way to bring smiles, and have visited orphanages, old age homes and special needs school, spent worthy time with the residents there, played some games with them and carried gifts for them, after and all not everything is bought from money. So the sole purpose of Shivaya is to spread happiness by serving humanity, and that is what our logo defines though its aesthetic value.

ABOUT SHIVAYA LOGO

Shivaya comes from Shiva, the Hindu God

Shivaya Foundation is here with motto to serve humanity.
The logo has three circles.
The inner circle is Shiva’s Damaru which symbolizes the sound that originates creation. It was with the sound of Damaru that the world came into existence and it is the damaru’s naad that still perpetuates the universe. It also represents the rhythm of the heart beat, which is innermost core of every being.
The middle circle is the being, the miraculous human being. The color of each of 8 beings has its own significance, let’s start with first one:
The golden being represents an individual with deep compassion, that’s what volunteers of Shivaya Foundation are filled with.
The following 7 colors from Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo and Violet (VIBGYOR) come from 7 chakras. The seven chakras are the centers in our bodies and from these chakras the energy flows through.
The red symbolizes nourishment. The Orange symbolizes emotions. The Yellow symbolizes intellect and will power. The Green symbolizes love and compassion. The Blue symbolizes expression of truth. The Indigo symbolizes inner wisdom. The Violet symbolizes consciousness. The outer circle is filled with the golden color representing compassion with marking of Shivaya Foundation which believes in serving humanity. The white stars indicates completeness/ wholeness with which Shivaya volunteers serve the society. Summarizing the concept of Shivaya Foundation logo - actions of team Shivaya volunteers are priceless and contribute to making the world a better place by serving humanity.
